Gen Japanese Buffet @ The Legend

Well, it's Friday again, another happy Friday cause I'm going for outing with my colleagues, it's been really a long time since the last one. And the place that we going to go is GEN Japanese Buffet which is at The Legend Hotel, highly recommended by Joveen. Sharp at 6pm, you can already see us starting to shut down our PC, which rarely happens in our department, hahaha...Hey, it's not always about work, rite? Sometimes you need to relax yourself too...

Gen Japanese buffet is located at 10th floor at The Legend. You'll know that you are already there when you see this "sumo guy" welcoming you. Well, what you waiting for? Let's go attack the food...

I can see the prawns waving at me "Come, come, faster eat me!!"

Assorted sushi...looks so so only, rite?

Miso soup, I actually quite like miso soup especially when I can put in as much tofu, seaweed and also spring onion into it...chew, chew...just feel a lil weird when drinking it in the bowl which more suitable for mushroom soup. I suggest them to have some more japanese-like bowl for this...

My starter plate which have the usual stuff, oyster, sashimi, scallop, and the not really fresh prawns...

Sushi...I found the rice of the sushi here a lil too sticky, it's either they put too much water to it...or, I don't know. You'll find yourself stuffed eating just 2 or 3 pieces of it...Say Nono to the sushi here...

Mix some of this and mix some of that and you get this...

Say YES to the Teppanyaki, this is nice...you choose what you want, give to them and they'll take care the rest. I can see the really put effort into cooking it, cooking it one by one...vege, mushroom, chicken, squid and salmon...

Time for dessert, here you are spoilt with lots of choices...mini cakes, ice cream, jelly, pudding...just name it, and you can get it...

Even "Lin Chi Kang". I like this too...as it's not overly sweet with snow fungus, grass jelly, sea coconut, longan, laici, feels so refreshing and another thing is I can...munch, munch. I have a fews bowls of this...

Pumpkin and tofu pudding...

If you planning to come here, make sure you remember to ask for the seat with KLCC view, or you are in a big group, you can choose for the tatami room...but too bad, we are over the limit...and with that we end up sitting outside and without any view...wahahah...but still we enjoys the nite, the nite which fulls of laughter, silly stuff and happy thoughts...great nite

Lunch @ The Pink Sage

It's was Hasrul's birthday today and it was such a coincidence that I were checking out on the Q drive that I found out about it...And Hasrul, you are lucky today as we just get our pay so we can treat you for a nice lunch...But frankly speaking, I really don't know where...luckily Ethan suggested to a new place "The Pink Sage". As mentioned by him, it's a nice, cosy cafe..No harming trying, right?

Found that the food they served here are sort of American + Italian, pasta, burger, risotto, tortillas, quesadillas...

Our drinks...

Our foods...

Mac & 4 Cheese which mean baked macaroni with 4 different type of cheese

Fish burger which come with Salad and Fries...

Salad with avacado cilantato dressing...

Cheeseburger which also means beef burger...

Sundried Tomota and Chicken Spaghetti...

This is what I've ordered...Wild mushroom risotto...looks yucky but tastewise were not bad actually...very cheesy and I've stoppped even before I can finish half of it...

June's Shrimp Putanesca spaghetti, the most delicious looking among all...I guess it were quite nice as I can see her finishing up the whole thing...

Lunch from Teluk Intan, Chocolates from S'pore and sweets from Shanghai...

Didn't go out for lunch today since everyone go to tapau, and I don't really know what to eat...Just right after lunch, saw Lee passing around a small packet of newspaper wrapped things..It's Chee Cheong Fun...there were also Kaya Puff and Chicken Biscuit, brought by Kok Lim all the way from Telok Intan...Arghh, what a correct timing...

Teluk Intan' style Chee Cheong Fun, there's some stuff in between the Fun. Based on my taste, I think it were some minced meat, dried shrimp, onion, errr...somemore what ar?Yummy, this taste realllll good especially when you eat it together with the pickled green chilli...

Some chocolates brought by Serena from Singapore kua...

Cute cute Shanghai' sweets from Rain...

That's my lunch today...

Restoran Ful Lai

After the unfullfilling dinner at Nippy Noddle, we decided to go for food hunt again...cafes,pub and restaurant are seems to be mushrooms around that area...all of them looks so attractive..but I think we better play safe and doesn't want to end up dissapointed again. Thus, we went to the Dim Sum shop we regularly go which is "Ful Lai"

The usual and unusual dim sum fare they served here...there supposed to be more choice. Some unusual stuff that you can get here for example curry pai kuat, fook chow fishball, tai tai lap pork ball, pandan chicken, octopus, sliced abalone, escargot,...etc, etc, etc... something there also served some amazing dessert.

And can you tell me where else you can get to have the whole bottle of mayonnise by yourself? Other place, they only served it in a small plate, somemore like want to give, like don't want to give pattern...

Since we are already 50% full...we just ordered some for sharing...

Another reason this have been my favourite place is because there were really alots of prawn meat in the dimsum. Unlike other places, the ratio of the pork meat is more than the prawn meat...Here, you can really have every bite of your dim sum full of prawns..

As I have say, they used more prawns, so please be expected that the price will also be slighty higher la, hahaha...but I guess still considered affordable...

Snacks from Shanghai again...

Ivy and Rain has gone back Shangai to cleared their leaves...and to my surprise both of them have brought back alot of snacks from Shangai...All of them looks so colourful...have tried some of them which is not bad...and also not to forget, the priceless souvenier which is coca cola from Shanghai...thanks gal

Compilations photo of all the snacks...for your enjoyment..

From left to right, up to bottom: rose sweets, crispy biscuit with jelly in the middle, walnut cake, shanghai' coke, next to it, errr...this is something which I'm still wondering, If I'm not mistaken I heard something like dried meat and someone told me it's dried tofu...but looks more like raw meat to me, hahaha...and lastly some not overly sweet sweets..I don't have time to ask them what exactly is all these stuff as I don't know to read Chinese...before I know what's that I don't think I'm that brave enough to chew it, hahaha...

Nippy Noodle Restaurant

It's weekend again, after 2 continious Saturday, finally this week no need to go back since what need to be done is already done...So now I can go to find for good food...

Another food post about noodles again...Nippy Noodle which is located at Kuchai Lama Entrepreneurs Park seems to be quite a decent one...featured before on some magazine and also "Ho Chiak". Something special bout the noodles here is it's not machine made but prepared the traditional way using a large bamboo log...I hope you can imagine it, the person preparing the noodles by riding on the bamboo log to press the dough...the result is, more springy noodle...

Iced White Coffee...

Sliced Abalone Noodles...1,2,3,4 and 5 slices of abalone...

Mixed Pork Noodles, again 5 slices of Char Siew, 5 slices of Siew Yok and another 5 slices of Pork Sausages...makes me feel they are counting it...

Pan Fried Fish Paste and Prawn Dumpling...Hahaha, again 5 pieces

The noodles were indeed quite springy and chewy which is different from the so-called wan tan mee...I quite like it, I mean just the noodles are special. As for the ingredients that goes with the noodles tastes just normal. And I found the large portion is not really large, so for big eaters you might not be full with it...Hahaha, I think you understand what I mean, because we are BIG EATERS but we don't really bother to order for another bowl...We rather go somewhere else for other food

Stay tuned if you want to know where we go next...

Mdm Chiam Curry Noodles House

Been here a few times, but today just simply want to take picture so I can blog blog a lil...As what the title of the shop name is "Curry Noodles" but surprisingly you will get to see what appearing on most of the table is NOT Curry Noodles but "Pan Mee"...Haha, I think they should change the shop name la...

Have tried their Curry Noodles which I personally think it's ain't really anything special, I have tasted those better one...So let's don't talk about Curry Noodles, I remember the last time I were here was around Chinese New Year time and that was also brought by Kelvin...Hmm, that time the food were still actually quite nice, The Pan Mee were quite similiar to Kin Kin Pan Mee, if you know what I mean...For me, I think both were quite like the same thus I rather come here since this is nearer to my place...

Something has changed during my visit this time...I saw something new hanging inside and outside the shop...This shop were featured on the Astro AEC program "Taste with Jason". Waahhh, so geng meh?

Was rather dissapoined this time, there were no more Porridge and Dumpling.OK, is that what you were like when you are famous?I also found that the Pan Mee were not that nice anymore...But you know what? Hubby say this shop were really really very very packed even during weekdays...Huh? Really meh?

So when I come back home today, connected to internet, straight go to http://blog.axian788.com/and found this... http://blog.axian788.com/?p=1157#more-1157

Really really a lots of bad comments wor...Really don't know how come it can end up on those Food Program Show. If you still interested to give a try, pls find yourself the address and the map thru the link above...
