Kafe FRIENDZ

Finally our Makan gang it not all about makan anymore, as this time they had planned to have a weekly badminton session. Well, it's actually a good thing to sweat out, as most the time we'll just stay in the office. I did join them simply to hang out with them but I didn't go into the court. Ahhh, you know? I'm just not a good badminton player, they'll surely "kek sei" if they really play with me, hahaha...

Well, after the badminton session ended, what's more better to do if not to EAT!Surprisingly this is my first time seeing a condo with such a good facilities, minutes walk from LRT, nice cafes for you to choose, convinience store, dobby, clinic, badminton court, gym, swimming pool...such a nice place, which make me believe it ain't cheap anyway...

We found there were quite a number of nice cafe around here, and most of them seems to be fully seated. Which at the end, we managed to settle down with FRIENDZ...

3-Layered Tea @ RM3.00 and Ambarella Juice@ RM4.00, this Ambarella aka "Sa Lei" or Kedondong juice seems to be hit nowadays as it's can be easily found at most of the eating places...taste similiar to Assam Boi minus the Assam

4 type chilies available for you to choose, depending what you eat...

Andaman Curry Chicken @ RM7.00 come with a bowl of rice. I don't know is it because of the angle of the shoot, this look more like the pot of flower at my house.... hope the person eating this don't get offended by my comment, wahhaha...I'm just kidding yea..

The name of this dish supposed to be Thai Latna @ RM6.50, but it's looks more like Wat Tan Hor to me, Carysse says it even taste like one...

Sweet & Sour Fish with Rice @ RM7.00 for the "Fan Tong" - Chen Lai, guys especially - they just can't miss a meal without rice hah...

Talking bout other people, I didn't realised that I'm a "Fan Tong" too myself...Pineapple Fried Rice @ RM6.50, the serving were real huge...it's really suitable for those whose really hungry...I didn't managed to finish it anyway...

Till then, looking foward for our next week badminton session and weekend makan trip - crab crab crab....

Pasta Zanmai

Finally have the chance to try out Pasta Zanmai today, since I have try Sushi Zanmai before, trying Pasta Zanmai should be something new and fresh for me. Pretty excited cause a friend of mine told me how delicious the food is, couldn't wait to try it out. It was kinda weird at first, thinking to eat pasta and pizza at a Japanese place. Well, we'll shall see how it taste like. Japanese + Italian = ???

E ye catching color for the food and dessert menu...

Have ordered two set of pasta meal. Hope we didn't go wrong by ordering pasta. I can't remember correctly the name but I think this is the Chicken Teriyaki Pasta. There were a few pieces of teriyaki chicken which taste just nice and eating the pasta together with the half boiled were suprisingly good...

And this is the Salmon Pasta. The pasta were quite special as it was served cold. I found this is suitable for the health conscious as the pasta sauce was abit soury taste, served together with the salad, don't you agree this is the healthiest pasta?

Beside pasta, they do served pizza. And here's the Hotate Pizza which we ordered. OMG! This is super nice. The thin crust pizza topped with lots of Japanese mushroom and scallops were awesome. I like mushroom and scallops as well so thumbs up for this...

For those who can live without rice aka "Fan Thong", hahaha...you can try this Beef Teriyaki Rice. We saw the half boiled again, this dishes served with lots of beef slices can really make a fulfilling meal for one...

Have skipped the dessert which I was so tempted to try out...Hope I can try it out next time...

Overall, I really like their food but their service were terrible. I don't know is it I'm bad luck that day. Our 2nd set doesn't seems to come even after we have finish our 1st one long long time. And I have chase the waitress a few time. Only then I get my Rice, chase another time...get my miso soup after 10 mins...and lastly after 20 mins Jojo's Salmon Pasta finally arrived...It's more heart sickening when you saw the lady that just sitted down already get her full set of meal after less than 10 mins...I think they shall informed their customer earlier if they have run out of the dishes or they can substitue for something else instead...not make them waits like idiot, esp to those ppl with no patience together with 2 kids...

Celine @ Kwai Seong wedding dinner @ Sam You

Another wedding dinner to attend and this time is at Serdang which was Kelvin's friend AGAIN!Anyway, it should be a joyful occasion which everyone should be happy bout it...Another couple tying the knot and I'm here to congrats them and wishing them happily ever after, haha...yea, sounds like fairy tale ending...

And here goes my camera capturing some of their happy moments that nite...The flower girl and boys look so sweet, does the 3 of them looks like sibling? yes, in fact they are..

Time for the food again, I was sitted at the table with only 6 adults and the 3 kids so I was really stuffed that nite. It's either I'm too hungry because I've already slowed down after the 3rd dish - fish, and that was also because I've took 2 bowls of shark fin. First time tasted a shark fin that nice, with sooo much ingredients in it, every mouthful of crab meat...yum yum. Fish were steamed to perfection, 2-style of chicken and prawns which mean we can eat mooore...absolutely satisfied, as normally wedding dinner dish doesn't taste that delicious...

After the 5th dish, the following seems to be untouched, such a waste...wish i could tapao (paiseh)

Palate Palette

I would like to say so so so sorry to Makan gang if any of them is reading this post...ehehe, because I can't wait to go to Palate Palette already...

Have read quite alot of review bout this place before and really wish to try it out. At first I've no idea where is it, both Jalan Mesui and Jalan Nagasari sounds so unfamiliar to me. It's all happened until one day, while I was passing by my favourite pork noodle shop only I found out that it's just at the same row...Yea, that's life..always get the unexpected when you did not expect it. I found at here, they just like to play around with colours, be it the interior, decoration and even the food, everything looks so colourful...scrool further to see more colours.. Ahh, just feel so happy seeing colorful things, don't you?

Here you can choose to sit in the inside...

Or the outside open air area...I won't mind be seated either place...If you noticed something, most of the things here is made from recycled item. Did you see the chairs? And the table that we are sitting is actually a sewing machine...hahaha, creative and so stylish huh?

The owner has also make some painting on the wall and also on the mirror.

Another reason I'm here on weekdays is also because of the weekdays set lunch. For RM20++ you can choose to have one Starter/Soup/Salad, one Entree and one Drink. If you top up another 7++ you can also have one more dessert...

Our drinks – Asam Boi and Iced Mint tea. There were alot of mint leaves in the mint tea, quite a refreshing drink...As for the Asam Boi, well you know Asam Boi, sour, salty drink...

Complimentary bun, was warm and soft, there were also some butter to go with the bun..

The Shrimp and avocado salad - menu describe this as rich and creamy avocado covered with a shrimp igloo...can I have more shrimp for the igloo, pls?

Chicken Lolipops - fried chicken boxing served together with roasted chili mayo...

Our entree - Fish and Chips, don't be fooled by the ordinary name as you'll be surprised that this is not a normal Fish and Chips - 2 slices of Tempura fried dory fish with assorted potato and yam chips...I feel this is more like a lolipop to me...The potato and yam chips were so crispy at the outside while inside is soft and chewy.

Next entree is the Lamb & Onions - Honey Worchestershire marinade with mint yoghurt sour cream.

Dessert time - Ginger Creme Brulee - served with almond biscotti, I can described this as some sort of baked caramel pudding whereby the top is a layer of crunchy caramel...mandy like this

Green Tea Mille Feuille - Green tea pastry cream sandwiched in layers of sesame crispy pastry, with raspberry coulis...this is so cute, green tea ribbons...mandy like this too

Now, you know what I mean by they like to play with colours? Even the food are so colorful, I find that they are so artistic, it's like they are painting the food...And this is place is full of quircky design which make them stand out of the rest. This is really a great place to hang out with friends too...I really hope that I can hang out with my Makan gang at here one day...

Durian Buffet @ SS2

Did you notice that Durian Buffet seems to be the most talkable topic recently? I do eat durian but I'm just not that durian craze. Still, I can't miss it, rite? Thanks to Carysse for recommending such a nice place for this time Makan gang gathering...

So far, I just get to know about the Durian Buffet which is at SS2, those familiar with that area will never missed it as it's just behind the SS2 police station. There were a fews store so you can actually take a look and survery around before decide which one to go...This is the one which we actually go for, for RM10 per pax you are allowed to eat as many durians as you can.

Take a look at the durians that we have, FYI this is the first round...and for the other round, there were no more such good durians for us, and they have actually started to served us those not so good quality one...I wonder how about the other stalls? Is it also the same? Is that all their tactic?

With Carysse, the gal that already have her durian buffet for the 3rd week in a row. Geng ar!!

Thanks again for the Aussie and Vietnam's Coca Cola from Carysse and Jessey, love it very much...

Hon Kee Porridge @ Petaling Street

Well, what would you do when you are craving for porridge? I mean a good bowl of porridge. The place which I usually will go is definetely The Famous Hon Kee Porridge @ Petaling Street. This stall have been around here for decades and I believe most of us already have it since we are very young...Just love the texture of their silky smooth porridge...

Usually we'll have one bowl of the "Sang Yue Chok" Raw Fish Porridge, the raw slices of fish will come separately in another small plate where we'll just need to put it in the porridge when we are about to eat it. And it'll cook instanly, haha like magic hor...Eating the porridge together with the "Yaw Char Kuey" Chinese Crullers was a perfect match...If you would like to have some crunchiness in your porridge, you might try as well the porridge with fried intestines, simply awesome as you'll be craving for more...

Hon Kee Porridge
Jalan Hang Lekir, Off Petaling Street.
(opposite Hong Leong Bank Berhad)
Open daily from 5 am to 1 pm

And of course of our meal wouldn't be complete without having a plate of the famous Chee Cheong Fun which is just next to the porridge stall... Would you believe it when this stall is only sells plain Chee Cheong Fun yet they are so many people who eat it?Just plain noodles with the generous serving of sweet and chili and also lotsa of sesame yet it's so delicious when you eat if for once a while...

After our stomach are happily full, we are now ready to go home and while we are on the way to the parking, we passed by this Muachi Stall sells by an auntie... First time I say Muachi which has so many flavor. Beside the plain one, you can have your Muachi with this kind of flavor Lychee, Mango, Ribena, Black Sesame and Pandan...RM5.00 for one small box, it's more expensive than a bowl of my porridge...haha, once in a bluemoon is still ok

My wednesday...

Well, blink blink and it's already Wednesday today, half of the week has passed...Something worth to celebrate, I guess? Wahaha, perhaps I should went to work a lil bit late so that I can enjoyed my breaskfast. It's been a long time I've never had a decent breakfast, normally I'll went to office quite early and a cuppa of nescafe shall be it...Ahh, suddenly feel like eating the Pork Noodle that I used to have somewhere at Jalan Nagasari. Used to eat here quite often. Why? Take a look at their noodles, it's loaded with lotsa of stuff and the price is reasonable...Where else you can get a bowl of noodles like this? And I guess because they put so many meat inside, so the soup tend to be swetter...The spoonful of garlic add more omphh to the noodles...Burp!! Real full for a breakfast. The serving were kinda large, which actually can be shared by two small eater...

And later which is end of today, I'm going to movie with my coll...total 19 of us, hehe such a long time never watch movie with such a big gang... Yea, I know I'm a lil late to watch Transformer 2, even most of my coll have actually watched it...and it should be the 2nd time for them. These guys, really never bored of Transfomer, wondering it's really because of the Robots or Megan Fox... Overall it's was a great movie with 2 and half hour duration, Luckily it more than 50% of it is funny, or else I' really worried that I might dooze off half way...

The movie start at 6.30pm and we finish our work at 6pm. I'm not sure my stomach are able to wait till 9pm so went to Capsquare for some quick bite...Can you guess this place?

It's Secret Recipe which just open another new branch at Capsquare here, can you see the spoon, fork and knife shining? The RM15 set meal in still ongoing, so you can opt for this if you would like to save some money OR want to have something fast, as normally they have precooked the food for sets...RM15 for one main which is either Spaghetti / Grilled Chicken Rice and one drink...

Reached home kinda late that day, you know the train services will decrease when it's after 7pm...Luckily I'm taking STAR, heard from the coll taking PUTRA, there're some problem and they ended up reach home quite late...Well, let's called it a day and that should be it...Nitez, and welcome Thursday....

Colorful weekend

Finally, the long awaited weekend has come, I don't know why, I just feel that the duration is sort of like getting shorter and shorter, hardly enjoyed my weekend nowadays...blink blink, and it's monday again. Do you have the same thinking as well? Haha...

Both my sis are coming over for the weekend. So as usual bring them out and just got the idea to go Mid Valley as it's been really a long time I've never been there. Nowadays, we rarely go to shopping malls anymore, usually we'll just go to the nearby minimart to store up for our groceries or daily stuff...Kelvin says, we need to save, don't spend on the unnecesary stuff...

The moment I come out from the parking, I saw this cute cute ugly thing...Wow!! So cute, so cute!! straight away took my camera out and ask Jo and Joey to start posing, hehehe...There were so many of this, It's almost can be seen on every floor of Mid Valley...Kelvin find me kinda annoying, because I keep asking him to take picture, haha...

Enough for the photos, and it's time that my stomach will automatically start to growls...Hmm, we actually pass by this Pasta Zanmai shop which I actually wanted to try. So that after eating, I can go stuff myself with the Japanese snack at Shojikiya next door...But to bad, Jo only want McDonald which at last, we all give in...Poor my two sis, the thought wanna try out something different...

I actually just hate fast food, no matter it's McD, KFC, or Pizza Hut...seriously, I don't think I can take anymore of these stuff ...I still remember I have these at least once a week when I'm in HP last time...So went to check out these mini stalls next to Jusco...Our intention were only to buy Tako Tao at first...

End up we buy more than what we supposed to, Stumbled upon this purple looking signboard which have the onigiri as their signboard, you know me, rite? Have bought one Tuna taste and a cup of organic soya bean to try...It's really tasty, I should buy more...This is actually my first time tasting one, the triangle shapped rice wrapped up with seaweed with a lots of tuna filling in the centre are so delicious...There are 5 more flavor...definetely will go back to try...

Mini cupcakes from Cake Sense, tastes normal...for the kids actually...

Strawberries on stick...These strawberries are actually coated with syrup...and when you bite it, the syrup is actually crunchy as it's been stored in the fridge...so make sure you consumed once you buy it, or else the sugar will melt...

Well, that's my weekend and blinks blinks, its Monday again....5 more days to go for another weekend to come...
