Pixar UP

The one week school holiday is almost over but this time we aren't going anywhere, not even going back to hometown as I was kinda packed with work...Furthermore with the H1N1, I don't think anyone got the mood to go for travel... Thus, I have promised Jo that I'll bring him for a movie which recently got into cinema - UP

I was actually kinda touch with this movie actually...Pixar previously cartoon were usually packed with humour and of course some touching part. But for this, It has something more, I think it's more about people to people relationship, how you sometimes deal with people in your everyday life which is kinda true...

Starting part was the most touching, it tells how this 2 couple met while they are still both kids - Carl and Ellie

How they grown up - and making each other their life partner. Abit bout Ellie, she's an adventurous type, from kid she had dreamt to explore to the wild - South America one day

But due to financial constraint, they could not make it...It was all until both of them has grown old and Ellie has passed away, leaving Carl all alone...lonely old man

But as he has promised Ellie, he though that he wanna make her wish come true. Carl who is a balloon salesman ties thousands of balloons to his house and make his way to South America.

The later part was about his adventure with a 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell, trying to earn his final merit badge for “Assisting the Elderly”. It was an accident whereby while Carl house were flying up, Russel was on his house' porch...Carl only realised bout it when they are already up to the sky...

And end up with another two more companian, a golden retriever which can talk and also a tropical bird named Kevin who is a she, haha...it was named by Russel who does not know about the gender of the bird first...

Overall, its a enjoyable movie which you must go to watch. It's also availabe in 3D, which I don't think I will go for the moment, maybe 1 one 2 years more, when I think it's the time the kids know how to watch with 3D...

Restoran BRJ

Restoran BRJ - the place which is familiar to most of us esp those staying @ Wangsa Maja area and those from TAR. But hey, do you know there's another branch at Alam Damai, near the place which I'm staying...

Something I like bout this place, it's kinda a lil different with the usual mamak which normally just serve Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai and Teh Tarik...Here, beside all this, you still can get something different...In my opinion, this place can be considered as one of the cleaniest mamak, service were fast as well, within seconds seated there will be already people taking your order and within seconds you leave your table, there will already people cleaning up your table...talking bout efficiency

The place which also I get to know about the existense of Teh O Ice Limau with Longan...The teh O plus some longan juice just blend so well...I like this

This is also the place I have my first Roti Salad, wonder any other place have this? Western + Mamal = nice. If you would like to have some meaty in your roti, try the Roti Salad Kambing or Roti Salad Ayam which taste good as well...

The ever delicious Nasi Lemak with their signature Fried Chicken. Their nasi lemak rice were so fragrant...you just can never have enough of this...

Tomyam were not bad too...

Fish & Chip for the kids...

Flip Flap

Flip Flap or whatever it calls...just realised it's getting more of this stuff in the office. Expert says after facing at the computer too long, then by looking at something green will ease your tiring eyes..Yea, it's never easy to find for plant inside any office..but this Flip Flap does looks like some small pot of flowers, rite? From simple design to those with cuter one, I just love all of it. How I wish I can have more of this..It's so cute, aren't they?

Don't like moving plants? I think moving object can heals the tiring eye too...The Shin Chan is just so cutezz...Guess most of us have seen this stuff before, it can been almost everywhere especially inside the car. But don't you think its kinda irritating seeing something moving while driving. Wherever you put it, I don't think putting it in the car is a good idea...

Feel like want to get one as well? Go ahead, but price may vary from where you buy it.. As usual, price at the market will tend to be much cheaper than buying it from Shopping Mall as you can bargain for it...Some nicer design will also cost more.

Lunch delivery by Bento King

While I was cleaning my drawer, found this...it was kinda a outdated flyer actually. I think I have been keeping it for few months dy.But since we usually don't know what to have for lunch, why don't we just give it a try? I was acting clever by passing it around for my coll to place the order...

If we make our order before 10.30 am, then we can get 10% discount...of course, we make it. And if order were more than 5 set, RM1.50 delivery charge will be void as well. In total, we have make 16 order with everyone choosing the food they like. And as promised, food arrived before 12pm which they have make it on time.

I didn't sense anything wrong until... Lee asking me: Mandy! Where is my Sesame Sauce Chicken and Peggy asking for her Asparagus Prawn Set...Uh oh!! Where is it?? No Sesame Sauce Chicken and Aspragus Prawn to be found, but there were extra set of Garden Salad and Bitter Melon Chicken...I was blur for a while before I go back to check for the receipt...In receipt, Set A were printed as Garden Salad and Set H were Bitter Melon Chicken...OMG!!Sense something not so good...Call them and found out I'm having the outdated menu and they have actually changed to a new menu...It's all my fault. If not, the poor guy which is the carnivor won't be a herbivor today...eating salad

Lee's Garden Salad Slice Chicken Set - RM5.90

This is mine, the most expensive set RM8.90 - Chicken Chop set

Japanese Beancurd Set - RM4.90

Bitter Melon Braised Chicken Set - RM5.90

Curry Chicken Set - RM5.90

Fried Chicken Set - RM5.90

Fried Fillet Set - RM5.90

Lemon Sauce Chicken Set - RM5.90

For me, all these bento doesn't look anything like the Japanese bento, more on the Chinese style. But anyway, in a standard bento you can have a balance of everything - rice, meat, egg and some vege and also fruits, some commented that the food taste OK as well.

So if you wanna try it, pls be more clever than me...don't be blur blur like me. Check out their website for more info on their outlet contact, delivery location and also the menu before placing your order.

...

Life should be that simple wasn't it? While for some it's was complicated, some people are easily contented while some are not...Some need to live a luxury life, only yes to branded and expensive stuff while some are easly to be satisfy...Me? Erm, I do wish that I have more money, high paying salary job, big house, expensive car...but hey, who do not wish for that too?People are greedy sometimes, that's norm.

Things will be automatically changed once you've reached certain phases of your life...Teenager, Single, Married, Mother...all these phases will definetely change your perspective towards life...How you see something, how you react, respond, your thinking...

I bought this nail clipper yesterday while was weekend shopping for RM2.50. It's look nice, doesn't it? This small stuff already can buy me happiness...So how you think my life is?

Foong Lim Homemade Noodles

Long time ago, there used to be only one version of Pan Mee whereby the flour dough were normally hand teared and back that time it's normally served in a bowl of anchovies' stock soup...Nobody will even ask you dry or soup, it's just until these few years back, where the dry version come into the picture, more thinner flour dough cooked in black soya sauce...with the chili powder, whoever the creative person who invented it, it's getting so famous nowadays...

I guess because of this, you can now find more and more version of pan mee...but will they seems to be as unsuccesful like the invention of the Dry version Pan Mee?

Foong Lim Homemade Noodles, I have passed by this shop many time but last Friday shall be the first time I come here...And the reason is simple - this place seems to be packed with people most the time...which make me wanted to try it out

Main specialty here is Pan Mee - there were a few choices, the usual dry and soup version, Super spicy or "Ma Lat" and also Seafood but there seems to be one which attract our attention which is this Loh Pan Mee, sounds special~~the soup were like the usual thick Loh Mee soup that we have, served together with the black vinegar. Not bad, but we found that it lack of some saltiness, wonder is it the cook have forget to put in the salt?

The dry version -our favourite, which have a more acceptable taste. Served together with the usual anchovies, minced meat and spinach...

Some side order - Dumpling, soup version RM1.00 each. For this price, you can have a thicker filling dumpling...taste so so

For those that like fried stuff, can order for this - Fried Fish Cake RM5.50, this can't go wrong...And I have eat this stuff at so many places before, none of them fails me yet...It is just simply tasty... you just want to have more of it

Fried Dumpling, RM1.30 each...Really don't understand why this cost 30 cent extra than the soup version. It's just have the same filling as the soup one...Really don't understand...somemore one of them is cacat one...

They dont have any special drinks here, this is just the normal can drink which is sold @ RM2.00 each...

Restoran Tak Fook

Restoran Tak Fok - the place which my makan gang have decided for our next makan place. Frankly speaking I'm have never heard of this place till I saw the pics Jenny uploaded to her Facebook...till then, I still don't know how famous is this place. I guess it's due to the location which is in Kepong which I'm not so familiar with...

Me and Jenny were the earliest among the gang and to my surprise it's just 6pm and the place were almost full..OMG! Kam sai lei? I'm starting to think it's the crab realllyy that delicious? No doubt, you can see there's crab on every table and everyone seems to be enjoying it...

The current promo for the crab is RM20 per kg, which I consider reasonable...While for the Salted Egg Crab, it will cost more at RM22 per kg, guess it's because of the salted egg which is not cheap...And there seems to be some hidden T&C applied to eat this cheap crab, hehehe...I think they are quite nasty in doing their business...If you order for 1kg crab, then you need to order for 2 side dish, 2kg crab = 3 side dish and so on...

We have ordered for 3 kg crab which were cooked 3 different style...Well, that also mean we need to order for 4 side dishes...One more thing, I really don't understand why they serve the crab first? We already say that we are going to eat rice, so as per logic, crab should be served last... &^@*#~

Cheesie Crab with lots of gravy, go well with rice or the mantou... I don't know its me or... it tasted a bit like the campbell mushroom soup...

Marmite Crab...

The star of the nite, Salted Egg Crab...I must says this is supper yummy...generous amount of salted egg were cooked together with crab...Did you see that? did you seee? Fall in love after the first bite, I guess this shall be the only reason for me to come back again...

Still remember that I say we need to ordered for 4 more side dishes and here you go...Jiu Pai Tau Fo (Signature's Beancurd) @ RM22 - homemade fried beancurd best eaten together with their chilli dipping sauce, not bad...

Another signature'dish - Coconut Prawn @ RM35

Again, we keep ordering their Signature dish including this Chicken @ RM40. The word Signature really didn't come cheap...There is one more vege which is price @ RM15...

Total bill RM207.50 inclusive 5% service charge(service not good also want to charge), after divided by 8ppl, is still considered reasonable...but what if it's only 2 ppl?

Tak Fok Hong Kong Seafood
No. 2-2A, Jalan Desa 1/3,
Desa Aman Puri, Kepong
52100 Kuala Lumpur
Tel: 03-6272 3346

Will I come back? Maybe, but when I start to think that I need to order for 2 more dish (which probably cost more than the crab) just to eat 1 kg crab, sienz already...hope they will abolish this rule soon...
